Northwest Pacific Coast

I forgot about how much I used to love landscape painting. I love the somber mood of the NW Coast...I was thinking about it and painted this quick watercolor and gouache piece this evening. There was something about the somber rainy days of the Northwest. There was something soothing about it - like a nice dark blanket to create under and be inspired by. The colors, I remember, were vibrant under the dark grey light of the winter.

Bird Brain

I am focusing on drawing what "just comes out" when I draw in the evenings. Somehow a lot of birds came out this week.
