This is my husband...again, I was looking for real life things to draw. This was what was available, as when we are driving, it is hard to capture things as we are speeding by. Maybe I will try that next!

Scary Cute

This dolphin is super cute, but I bet I would be a bit alarmed were I to swim up to him unexpectedly while scuba diving in the warm seas.

Daily Habits

Daily habits. I used to smoke and eat chips. I don't do those things so much anymore. Times change.

Barbeque Utensils

It had been a while since I just sat down a looked at something and drew it, so that is what I did tonight. We were going to barbeque, but we ended up just sitting on the patio drawing. It was a really nice evening for it!

Cleo and Another Proper Princess

I was trying to capture the personality of my dog, Cleo. She has a real poker face, as many shibas do. She also acts like a princess, so delicate and demanding of what she wants.


Cleo reminds me of a deer, or a horse. Her upright position, so proper, with big eyelashes. She knows she is special. This is a horse I drew while thinking of beautiful, "proper" looking animals.

project for art unleashed & more detail on raging storm

It was fun to gocco, then paint and build a cutstom frame for this piece for Art Unleashed. I plan to go this year and buy some art! The best thing about it is that the proceeds go to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

The last two are more detail on the "raging storm" painting. I am trying to spend more time on each piece and give each the attention it needs.

now I know why they say I Heart Gocco!

Jon got me a Gocco printer for my birthday...and I am now just using it for an "Art Unleashed" project. I thought you couldn't get the Gocco printers anymore, but I guess  you can. Artists and Craftmen Supply in KC carries them. I really like it!

I need to get more ink though. The kit only came with black. I want to use four colors - yellow, blue and orange with my black line-work on the next printing session. I will also need more screens...and more paper because you have to print like 50 for each screen and I already used up my paper!

I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolors for the color areas for this print. I like the yellow dots...that bright paint is so much fun to use!

Wintery Boots

I have been wearing these wool felt boots everywhere. I love them - so cozy and warm, like slippers!

Warhol

I love Andy Warhol's collection of shoe drawings - so graphic and whimsical. He inspired me to draw these shoes.

Bananas for Bananas

This is George Gorilla's second cousin, Gerard. Can you see the relation? He is a little more giving with his bananas, but also a bit more shy.

Magic!

I have been seeing a lot of unicorns back in culture lately. My friend Unice (pictured above) showed up today, ready to help with any magical needs that may arise. She was always a very helpful unicorn.

And here is Helga and Leo - they haven't seen each other in a while - you know, because of all the deforestation, they were separated months ago. They plan on forming a new neighborhood association to prevent any further disruptions to the forest. Maybe you could help them?

Ode to the Odor

My feet are really stinky sometime. I am active, and if I don't watch out for puddles or clean my shoes often, then can really give off a funk. It's worth it, as I love to be active.
